Recently, approved by the committee of the National Natural Science Foundation, Professor Zeng Xiangjun from the School of Electrical and Information Engineering was supported by the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, with an amount of RMB 4 million yuan.
The National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, as a designated fund established in 1994 by the State Council, supports scholars under 45 years old with outstanding achievements to carry out innovative research studies in accordance with their own choice, aiming to promote the growth of young scientific and technical talents, to attract overseas talents, and to train a number of outstanding academic leaders in the fields of cutting-edge technologies.
This year marks the twentieth anniversary of the establishment of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, and during the period 3202 applicants in total were funded.
